Deb's path to Pilates started in the fitness industry. Her first certification was teaching aerobics on campus at Millersville University. Her passion for movement grew into certifications in step, boxing, spinning, rebounding, barre, and yoga — which eventually led her into personal training and weight work with one-on-one clients.
Deb wasn't looking for Pilates. Pilates found her. She was hired by QVC as a Fitness Model to demonstrate Pilates on live TV on a reformer for "at-home." Her first Pilates teacher was Mari Windsor — famously known for Windsor Pilates. After just a few weeks of practicing, Deb walked into the gym where she was working part-time and told the owner, "Let's open a Pilates studio." Her conviction that Pilates was undeniably transformative was powerful enough for him to say "yes." That studio was the first of 7 Deb has owned and operated across 3 states.
Her formal education in the Classical Method gave her the foundation to make Pilates her full-time career. Deb believed — heart and soul — that this is what everyone needed to be doing. She remains a lifelong student of the work. Alongside advanced certifications in anatomy and movement science, she practices Pilates almost daily and continues to attend classes and conferences to go deeper. Her loyal clients call her "Debbie Details."
In 2020, Deb opened Lucie Lemon Pilates in Port St. Lucie with a singular vision: an authentic Classical studio where every client experiences the difference that attentive, knowledgeable instruction makes. Today the studio offers small-group reformer classes, private sessions, and specialty programs, alongside a Comprehensive Classical Pilates teacher training program rooted in the Joseph Pilates Method.
When she's not teaching or refining her craft, Deb is working on her other business, iCRYO Wellness Center, which she owns with her husband — and otherwise adding to her shoe collection, watching make-up tutorials, cooking new recipes, and loving on her two doodles.
